John Hurt Doktor'un önceki bilinmeyen rejerasyonunu canlandırmıştır.Ayrıca bu bölümde klasik serinin Terror of the Zygons (1975) adlı bölümünde olan uzaylı Zygonlar ile Dalekler geri dönmüştür.Doktor'un Zaman Lordlarını ve Dalekler'i tamamıyla yok ettiği bilinen Son Büyük Zaman Savaşı'na dönüşü anlatılmaktadır.
